From a Damascus workshop, Omar Alkhateeb turns ordinary machines into laboratories for machine learning — and builds the automations that run on them.
Now serving as a full-time AI Developer at GWA, Alkhateeb integrates AI microservices into production products, wiring intelligent behavior through n8n automation workflows. A graduate of Information Technology Engineering, his standing interest lies in ML engineering and the research and development that surrounds it.

Dear reader — I build at the seam where machine learning meets the machines most people already own. The thesis is simple: intelligence does not require a data-center to be useful. It requires care, the right tooling, and the patience to ship.
My work has run the full press — from PHP news sites and backend networking services, to system administration on a factory floor, to a published Linux handbook, to the AI automations I write today at GWA.
What ties it together is a habit of finishing: leading the Blitz team, coordinating frontend deliveries, winning a national hackathon with “Balagh.” If you have a problem that needs an engineer who communicates and delivers, this column is an open invitation.
